Supervisor Safety Course (SSC)

Supervisors represent their employer with regards to their liability as stated under Sec 16(1) of the Occupational Health & Safety Act no. 85 of 1993. The responsibility of the supervisor and his duty is expanded under Sec 8(2) e and Sec 8(2)i of this legislation.
The bottom line is that the supervisor, being first line management, represents both the employer and employee with regards to health & safety at the workplace.

SSC aims to enlighten supervisors of their roles, duties and responsibilities as enforced under the Occupational Health & Safety Act no. 85 of 1993. Supervisors have first line management duties to ensure that the employees are working in a safe and healthy workplace.
